Who is Eligible?
Any pet owner in Clay County or the surrounding area is eligible to apply for the Stay Together Program if they are no longer able to keep their pet. Before applying for the Home-to-Home program, pet owners are encouraged to check out BBRR's Stay Together program, designed to help struggling owners keep their pets.
Applying for the program does not guarantee acceptance. Families will be accepted to the program based on Big Bear Ranch Rescue's available resources. This program is designed to specifically to rehome an animal directly from their current home to another safe and appropriate home without the animal entering a foster care or shelter system.
How Can BBRR Help?
Big Bear Ranch Rescue can provide assistance based on availability of program resources. Available help could include:
Rehoming Support:

developing a rehoming plan;

identifying potential adopters;

providing guidance regarding prospective adopters;

helping prepare an accurate animal description;

identifying appropriate community contacts;

discussing the animal's medical and behavioral needs;

providing responsible rehoming resources;

helping coordinate introductions;

posting the animal to social media and appropriate rehoming platforms;

assisting with necessary

assisting with transportation when appropriate; and

helping address reasonable barriers to a successful placement.
